Projects

Medication Management

The Kimberley Population Health Unit and KAMSC has implemented electronic medication management at all clinics in the Kimberley. This features electronic medication charts, electronic ordering of S100 and non-S100 medications including Webster Paks from pharmacists in the regions.

Acute Rheumatic Fever/Rheumatic Heart Disease Register

A WA ARF/RHD register has commenced and is being run by KPHU. Featuring shared care plans and electronic referral and notifications, the start in the Kimberley will be rolled out to the rest of WA.

Perth Hospital Electronic Referrals

GPs can now send electronic patient referrals to the hospital outpatient clinics in Perth’s Tertiary Hospitals, directly from their practice management software, using MMEx.

Great Southern

MMEx started its implementation in the Great Southern region of WA. Focussing on secure messaging initially, other services such as internet backups of data, remote access to practice management sytems from hospitals and aged care facilities are also being provided. In addition, the provision of clinical audit facilities within the practices of the region would remain a focus through funding from the Australian Better Health Initiatives.

Kimberley

MMEx is providing secure messaging in the Kimberley and working with the Kimberley Division of General Practice, the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council and the WA Country Health Services to provide integration of pathology and immunisation information with the Ferret system and the provision of registers for chronic disease conditions.

Mid West, Wheatbelt

MMEx will be providing secure messaging, health directory services and message protocols between health providers.
