Funded by the Department of Health and Ageing through their e-Health program, the UWA CSP partnered with the Great Southern GP Network in 2007 to provide a secure network connecting GPs, Specialists, Hospitals, Aged Care Facilities and allied health providers. Running on the secure network was the UWA CSP's MMEx software, an online, collaborative e-Health platform delivering multiple modes of communicating and sharing patient information securely as the basis for full clinical patient management for acute and primary health care.
UWA CSP has collaborated with other patners including the divisions/networks of General Practice in WA, the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council and other Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in WA, WA Country Health Services, HealthLink Inc and other health care professionals.
In 2009, the UWA CSP has entered into a new agreement with the Department of Health WA to develop further e-Health functionality for the benefit of Western Australians.
